Who we are
Within Reach (“the game”) is made by Bebra Apps (“we”). For the purposes of the GDPR, Bebra Apps is the controller of the limited data described below.
Photos and the camera
The game asks for the camera so you can photograph real things from your home and use them in puzzles. The picture is cut out and recognised on your device, using Apple's on-device frameworks. Photos, cut-outs and the names of your things are stored only in the game on your iPhone. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. You can delete any thing in the game, or delete the app to remove all of them.
Your progress
Solved boxes, certificates, story progress and settings are stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your private iCloud database so they move to your new iPhone. This data lives in your Apple account; we have no access to it.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store; we never see your payment details. To unlock what you bought on all your devices, the game uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, the products you bought and the App Store receipt. It is not linked to your name or email.
Game statistics
To understand which boxes are too hard or too easy, the game sends anonymous usage events (for example, “box 12 solved after 3 tries”) to Google Analytics for Firebase, together with an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version and an approximate country derived from the IP address. This data is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. The game does not use the advertising identifier.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, achievements are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Feedback
If you send feedback from the game or from our support page, we receive the text you write, the email address you give us so we can reply, and technical details (game version, device model, iOS version, language and how many boxes you have solved). We use them only to answer you and fix problems, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. Please don't include other personal details.
What we don't do
- No accounts and no sign-in. We only see an email address if you write to us.
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No selling or renting of data.
- No access to your contacts, location, microphone or photo library (unless you choose a picture yourself).
Children
The game is rated 4+ and suitable for families. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
You may have the right to access, correct or delete data about you. Because we hold no account or personal profile, you can delete everything by deleting the app and, if you wish, the game's data in iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage). For anything else, contact us through the support page.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
